Peacekeepers of the Windy City

Brief Overviewa
When two groups arbitrarily go to battle, there is always the people, the moderates who tire of being pulled one way or another, who grow tired of war and call for peace. It was not until the last ten or twenty years that the warring between the Antonelli Family and the Red Wolves went toward the worse, but there had long been hints of animosity, and siding between the werewolves and the vampires. It seemed that there were a good few of both race who initially sided with either side, but grew disgusted with the pointless warring. There was talk of a resistance, but it wasn't until after World War I that a resistance group was created.

Initially, Charles Wickham was the leader of the Peacekeepers, but when he chose to move to Seattle with a female werewolf who stole his heart (while he was a vampire), he passed on the role to Atticus Valiant. He automatically enlisted his younger sister as an officer; after seeing how masterfully she managed the speakeasy and hearing her wonderful business sense and seeing her cleverness and intelligence in action on more than one occasion, she would be good for the position.

Meaning
Well, Charles Wickham was a bit unoriginal, but he thought of "peace" and how they seemed to be the only keepers of peace in the entire "Windy City". So, that name was formed.

Some other more romantic names were thought of, but they were very "pansy" names for the boys.

Leadership and Structure
The current "leader" is Atticus Valiant, with assorted officers. There are no defined ranks in the Peacekeepers, just "The Fearless Leader", "assorted officers of all shapes and sizes", and "senior members".
