The Basics

Character Name: Natasha “Nat” Koskorov

Character Age/Age they appear: 94/Around 35

Nationality: Russian

Race (Werewolf/Vampire/Thrall/Human): Werewolf

Gender: Female(?), known publicly to be male.

Sexual Orientation: If you want to consider her a woman, then she's a lesbian.

Physical Description (Height/Weight/Hair/Clothing): Natasha is best described in a nutshell as "tall and dark". Her features are long and flat (save for a rather large, hooked nose) with a square jaw and a brow that is almost always furrowed over a pair of yellow eyes; Her hair is long, straight, and black, usually hanging loosely around her face and reaching just past her shoulders. She has restricted herself to mens' clothing and is often seen sporting a long, pale brown coat trimmed with shaggy dark gray fur. One might describe her as masculine. In fact, there are few who know that she is a woman. She has a deep voice that is clipped with a harsh Russian accent, leaving little room to question her heritage.

As a wolf she is huge and hulking; notably so. On all fours, her back reaches about five feet in height. Her teeth are jagged and, coupled with fierce yellow eyes and shaggy black hair come together to create a particularly menacing visage. Also worth mentioning is that it seems to be male, further lending to the notion that she is a he.

As a werewolf she is equally, if not more so, intimidating. On her hind legs she stands at about 8 feet and as such she prefers to stay on her hind legs. She has a thick mane of black hair to match her fur. Also male.

Distinguishing marks (Scars/Tattoos/etc.): No tattoos, but there is a large, bite mark shaped scar over her left shoulder. She usually keeps it hidden.

Family and/or Friends: Natasha killed her father and her mother ran away. Concerning immediate family, she has one sister who is still around- Mizinovskaia.

Sire: Her father.

Brief History: Natasha was born to Vladik and Anshka Koskorov in 1830 on a small farm outside of Orenburg, Russia. When she was eight, her mother had another child, Mizinovskaia - a baby sister for Natasha - though Anushka fell gravely ill as a result. Wrought with grief and worry at the prospect of his wife dying, Vladik sought desperately for a doctor but was unable to afford such services. Given no other choice, he fled to the nearby forest and performed the forbidden rites of the oborot, or werewolf. While this granted him immortality, it cursed him as well- half man, half beast, an abomination and a disgrace to nature; a monster.

With his newly attained powers, he hurried home and bit his wife which saved her from her illness but afflicted her with the same condition. The two of them decided to keep their curse a secret from everyone, even their children, for the sake of their family's safety. This worked fairly well for around thirty years, and Natasha led a normal farmer's daughter's life. At the age of 35 - a late age for the time period - she was finally married off to Alexei Revnik, a long time friend of hers.

Not long after Natasha left home, Vladik made a trip into town in order to deliver a few crates of produce and pick up a few supplies and was snowed in due to a sizeable blizzard which just happened to coincide with the full moon. In the safety (or so he thought) of his room at the inn, he transformed for the night, but unfortunately for him a townsperson just happened to be strolling by his window to witness the transformation. There was an uproar and, not long after that, a mob. For the sake of his life, Vladik fled into the countryside still transformed and disappeared into the snowstorm. Fearing the safety of his entire family, he turned both of his daughters that evening without any sort of explanation before running home to inform his wife of what had happened. Both Natasha and her sister were left in the dark for many days, baffled by the monster's attack and furthermore the rapid healing of their wounds, until finally their father explained to them what had happened. She was left deeply afraid of herself, dreading the impending full moon. When the night finally came, she made her decision and requested that her husband kill her and after much pleading, he finally agreed.

The blizzard continued to rage for four weeks, keeping the town at bay for a while, but once the storm subsided they were hot on the heels of the Koskorovs. Vladik had not been anticipating the attack and just barely managed to escape their clutches with Anushka, then quickly made his way to the residence of his youngest daughter to warn her of the encroaching mob. Terrified, she chose to flee with her parents. After waiting a few minutes until midnight for Mizinovskaia's first transformation, the three of them ran to Natasha's home in order to collect her as well. When they arrived, however, the snow was a mess with blood and pieces of Alexei; the largest of which was being gnawed on by a transformed Natasha. Confused and restless and unable to control the beast, she ran for her family to attack them, but Vladik managed to transform and scruff her before she could cause any damage. After helping her gain control of herself, he helped her with her shift back to her human form, when she realized just what she had done. Wrought with grief over the unintentional murder of her husband, Natasha attempted to fight her father, proclaiming her hatred for him for bringing this curse down upon their family. After finally managing to calm her down, the four of them fled together, eluding the angry mob of villagers.

Several months later found the family stepping off a boat into New York City where, they discovered, there were other werewolves like themselves, and they had very recently begun to come out as (somewhat) respected citizens of the country. Perhaps "respected" was a stretch; it was evident that most people wanted to chase them out of town with torches and pitchforks. There were just laws preventing them from doing so.

They lived in New York for several months trying to make a living but found it to be rather difficult; none of them were used to such a densely populated environment and the fact that they were both immigrants and "unhumans" (as werewolves and other smiliar races were being called now) did not do them any sort of good in finding employment. They finally left the city after hearing of an up and coming down in the midwest - Chicago, Illinois - with the hope that perhaps there would be more room for them there, and more acceptance.

The rest of Nat's history is covered in the Red Wolves history.

Occupation: Crime boss is a full time job!

Residence: Red Wolves headquarters.

Ten Random Questions

What does your character think of their body?
Satisfied with it. No real consideration outside of that.
Are they religious/spiritual?
No.
What is a main motivation/goal for your character?
To find her mother and reconcile with her, also to wipe the vampires out from Chicago- at least Carmine's bunch.
What is their most prized possession?
Her coat.
How does your character feel about their mother?
Cared for her and loved her, distraught that her mother left after she killed her father. She's still bent on finding her.
Does your character drink? Do drugs?
Given that her job requires her to be on her toes most of the time, she avoids drugs. This doesn’t stop her from drinking, however; she has built up a rather high alcohol tolerance over the years.
Name a time your character has made someone cry -- have they ever?
There was much mom crying involved when Natasha brought her mother the bloody pelt of her father. This, along with Josephine coming back crying to her, are the two instances that had the most effect on her. She’s probably made hundreds cry though, especially considering her job requires torture.
What does your character think of art?
It’s a waste of time. Artists are lazy good-for-nothings. However, she loves opera.
Does your character carry any weapons, and if so why?
Two wooden stakes, usually kept in her coat in case she happens to pass one of Dante’s men in the streets.
What is something your character would never, ever do?
Lie. Or rather, she tries to lie sometimes and then becomes so overwhelmed with guilt that she will go out of her way to set it right again.
